Michael Sieben

Michael Sieben was born in Kansas City, MO but moved to Seguin, TX the day after his sixth birthday. In 1996 he left Seguin for Austin and transferred to the University of Texas where received his BFA in 1999. Sieben was one of the founding members of Camp Fig gallery which was in existence from August 2002 to January 2006.

Sieben works as a staff illustrator and writer for Thrasher Magazine and juggles a handful of freelance clients primarily within the subculture of skateboarding. His personal work has been shown throughout the United States as well as England, France, Germany, and Japan. He has been featured in such publications as Juxtapoz, Arkitip, Faesthetic, and Arrow NYC.

Future projects include a solo show in June 2008 at 5024SF Gallery in San Francisco, and a performance piece in which Sieben will clean the toilet at Okay Mountain and restock the toilet paper.
