Nick Lowe

Within Nick Lowe’s paintings and drawings, a mosaic of bright colors and shapes combine to create bizarre worlds in which a diverse cast of characters reside. His large-scale collages feature fragmented shapes that alternate between figuration and abstraction. Obsessively detailed, his work depicts fractured narratives that unfold in visually dazzling displays.

Born in 1980 in San Jose, California, Nick Lowe lives and works in Los Angeles. Solo exhibitions
include Black Dragon Society, Los Angeles; John Connelly Presents, New York; Me.di.um, St.
Barthelemy; and The General Store, Milwaukee. Group exhibitions include Peres Projects, Berlin;
Deitch Projects, New York; Apex Art, New York; Jack Hanley Gallery, San Francisco; and UCLA
Armand Hammer Museum, Los Angeles.
