Anna Krachey
As an artist I tend to focus on themes of home, family, and the intersection of these two elements. These themes arise from an early childhood spent in rural New England and my mother’s native Ireland. In much of my work I try to explore the divisions between the individual, family life, and the life of houses that stand for both of these elements. Though I am drawn to portraiture, my current work focuses on lawnscapes, places where living spaces are in a state of alteration by individuals.
